keyboards, vocals, lyrics. The specimen labled Raymondus Theodorus Mawhinneus, developed on 4-18-76, was introduced to a series of conditions by the experimentors including a habitat of middle class upbringing in San Deigo, CA. In order to most effectively monitor and manipulate the subject as necessary, one of the experimental team (a Psychiatrist) was designated the role of father to the subject. As is common in such experiments, the assumed "father" role tainted this experimentors' judgement resulting in a vicarious encouragement of the subject in certain areas of art, particularly music. This led to the establishment of, and participation in many San Diego based bands including: Skeletor Ruby's Last Dance Muscle Car New Granada The influences of San Diego bands like Fishwife, Drive Like Jehu, and No Knife had a profound effect on the subjects' creative style, while David Bowie, Jane's Addiction, and Leonard Cohen are considered to be among the specimens' favorite musicians. The subject in now playing bass guitar, keyboards, and singing in the San Francisco based band Centipede. These artistic interests have interupted the desired course of experimental progression but have yielded interesting information to be followed up in later experiments. It is our firm belief that these setbacks are temporary, and that the hypothesis will be supported. |
